Distributives ،حروف معین کننده ای هستند که به یک به یک افراد یک گروه یا دسته ، نه به کل گروه یا دسته ، اشاره میکند. مثل: a, an, both, each, every, either, neither .
Distributives : a, an
حرف تعریف نامعین a,an وقتی شخصی یا چیزی برای باراول ذکر میگردد، بکار برده میشود.
مثال:
A man approached us to ask for direction.
In the still of the night, we could hear an owl hooting in the distance.
Both
به دو موردی که یک جفت را میسازند اشاره میکند و درنتیجه نمیتواند قبل از اسم مفرد قرارگیرد و قبل از اسم جمع می آید.
Examples:
Both sisters fell in love with the same man.
It was reported that both countries also signed a trade agreement.
Distributives : Each, every
این دو کلمه معنی تقریبا یکسانی دارند. Each به گروه یا مردمی که بعنوان شخص منحصر بفرد و تکی دیده میشوند، اشاره دارد و every به تک تک افرادی که گروهی را میسازند.
مثال:
She wears a ring on each finger except the thumbs.
The victims identified every member of the armed gang who took part in the robbery.
Each و every فقط قبل از اسم های مفرد قابل شمارش می آیند.
Police questioned each member of the family for possible involvement in the murder.
The head of every household must fill out the form.
استفاده از each ,every یعنی بیشتر از دومورد وجود دارد.
Each member at the meeting received a copy of the report.
Every player must attend the training sessions for the next crucial match.
Each میتواند به معنی 2 مورد و every به معنی 3 یا بیشتر است.
Each player in the singles final has a different style of play. (= two players)
There were cars parked along the sides of every street in town. (= all the streets)
Every can be used with uncountable nouns..
Every با اسم های غیر قابل شمارش هم همراه میشود.
He gave me every advice before I went for the climb.
Either, neither
به دوشخص یا چیز ، و نه بیشتر، اشاره میکنند و قبل از اسم مفرد می آید و فقط یکی از ان مورد ها را زیر نظر دارند.
Either parent will drive the children to the library.
(یکی از والدین رانندگی میکند.)
He received injuries on either side of his head from a fight.
(هر دو طرف سرش اسیب دیده.)
Neither boxer was able to knock the other out.
