جمله واره That-Clause – that در زبان انگلیسی

 جمله واره that  جمله واره اسمی است که خیلی رایج است و تشخیصش اسان است. اولا که با that شروع میشود و دوما بعد از فعل اصلی می آید.

Examples:

That در that clause  ممکن است نقش ضمیر موصولی داشته باشد .

بعنوان ضمیر موصولی :

that  در جمله واره موصولی به اسمی در جمله برمیگردد در حالیکه جمله واره موصولی مثل صفت عمل میکند  که اسمی را معرفی میکند.

The beetle that you stepped on was still alive.

The game that my grandparents are playing is for children.  
(Beetle و game مرجع اسم هستند.)

thatوقتی  به اسمی بعنوان مرجع برنگردد

thatوقتی  به اسمی بعنوان مرجع برنگردد ضمیر موصولی نیست. کل   That-Clause اسمی است که بعد از فعل اصلی قرارمیگیرد.

He believed that his new business would become one of the biggest in the world.

We discovered that there was no truth in the rumour.

(چون that نهاد نیست قابل حذفه.)

That-Clause بعنوان نهاد جمله

That she could use his car tonight was the promise he gave to her.

That the children could fight for so long surprised the adults.  

That-Clause  بعنوان مفعول جمله

Mom said that we could play in the rain.

She wished that she could sail to the Antarctic.  

جمله واره that  بعد از فعل می آید.

I remembered that I had left my house keys at home.

He feared that this might be the end of his marriage.  

جمله واره that بعد از صفت می آید.

The parents were excited that their daughter was getting married.

She was annoyed that he had forgotten his wallet.  

جمله واره that  بعد از اسم می آید.

It was a mistake that he assumed his wife would agree with his plan.

Their teacher has a firm belief that education is a waste of time.  .  

جمله واره that بعنوان جمله واره موصولی لازم

جمله واره لازم اطلاعات مهمی دارد.

Examples:

The ringmaster that the lion killed was buried yesterday.

It reminded her of the hospital that she used to work.
